El ritmo sigue en casa Volkstuning, terminamos con la T2, ya esta el motor redondo y listo para la temporada 2010, esta furgo es de una familia encantadora y seguro que las veremos por las playas de la Costa del Sol, a lo mejor vuelve para una bajada pero en estos momentos es mas importante la mecanica y que se pueda disfrutar este verano, paso a paso.

The t2 westy is done and dusted and ready for a road test, the engine is now singing that lovely aircooled tune that we all love, this example belongs to a lovely family and we look forward to seeing them enjoying their van on the costa del sol.It could do with a lowering job, but we will leave that until next time.

La semana que viene empezaremos con otras cosas, el resto de esta semana estamos preparando para Rute, gracias a todos nuestros clientes por su paciencia esta semana y espero verte en Rute. Otro año, repetimos!!

Con motivo de la feria de coches clásicos de Rute, pues aprovechamos (cualquier motivo nos vale) para juntarnos, los que tenemos el virus VW crónico.

La idea es la misma que la del año pasado, los que quieran pueden visitar la feria durante la mañana, y a las 13:30 saldremos rumbo al restaurante Media Luna, en la playa de Valdearenas, un lugar a orillas del pantano con unas vistas preciosas.

El precio del almuerzo será de 20€ adultos y 7€ niños.

El plazo de inscripción se cierra el día 29 de Enero, por lo que se ruega formalidad y confirmación antes de dicha fecha.

Our friends TAPERWAGEN, PEÑA CLASICOS VOLKSWAGEN DE LUCENA & the Volkswagen club Club from Granada, are organizing a reunion on Sunday the 31^st January, this coincides with the classic car Show that we will also be taking part in,

The format is the same as last year, visit the show in the morning and the have lunch at the restaurante Media Luna, which is located right on the edge of the lido

The price of the 3 course meal is 20€ and 7€ for children, if you are interested please confirm with the organizers before the 29^th of January.

Trabajando con el type 4 1700cc

Seguimos con el montaje del 1700, y puedes ver que lo primero, como es nuestra costumbre, la prueba se hace en bancada, de esta manera podemos ver si hay algunas perdidas o mas importante tomas de aire, tambien es mas facil de poner el motor apunto y regular los carburadores, que en este caso son doble pero de simple cuerpo, estos motores salieron de fabrica con esta configuración.Después de la prueba se monto en la furgo y solo falta montar los filtros y conectar el apartado de electricidad, y listo para rodar, esperamos que nuestro amigo note la diferencia.

Working on the type 4 1700cc

We continue with the top end rebuild of the type 4 1700 engine, we always like to test our engines on a rig, this way we can check for any oil leaks and also for any air leaks, this is also allows to fine tune the engine before finally installing in the engine bay and fitting all the air filters and reconnecting all the wires. Hopefully soon we will be ready to do a road test….

How do we start the week at Volkstuning!!!

This week we are rebuilding the top end of a 1700 Type 4 engine, the heads have been rebuilt, the cylinders honed and the rings changed, a good clean is required and then its time to put together with new seals etc..., This week we are going to be a bit busier than normal, the reason being is that we are taking part in the “EJES PARALELOS” classic car show, which also has trade are and swap meet, the show is in Rute, Cordoba and its open to the public on the 30 and 31st of January, for more information www.feriandalucia.es.If you are planning to visit the show and would like to collect any orders please contact us before Wednesday as we will be closed Thursday the 28th until the 3rd of February, we are sorry if this causes any inconvenience but we can be in two places at once.

Como se presenta la semana en Volkstuning!!!

Empieza una semana nueva, pero esta va ser bastante durita, además de nuestro trabajo habitual, el equipo de Volkstuning participa en EJES PARALELOS, Gran Feria de Coches y Motos Antiguas y Clásicas de Andalucía, Piezas de Repuesto, Compra y Venta. 11? Edición. RUTE. 30 y 31 de Enero de 2010, mas información en www.feriandalucia.es. Si vas atender esta feria pásate por nuestro stand y estaremos encantados echar un ratillo. Si quieres aprovechar de la feria y hacer un pedido para recoger, necesitamos nos envíes tu pedido antes del miércoles. Por motivos de la feria nuestro horario esta semana será distinta y estaremos cerrados el del Jueves 28 de Enero hasta Miércoles el día 3 de Febrero, disculpad por esta molestia. Esta semana estamos terminado este motor Tipo 4 1700cc, se han rectificado las culatas, a los cilindros un buen repaso y los segmentos totalmente nuevos, un buen lavado y luego a montar, naturalmente todas las juntas se cambiaran!
